If you have a lot of photos in your Flickr account and want to back them up to an external hard drive, then you need to download them to a computer and then transfer them to an external hard drive. Flickr has a new Camera Roll beta which allows you to bulk download photos and videos. Here you will see your photos and videos by Date Taken. Here are the steps to Backup Flickr Photos to an External Hard Drive:

  1. Open the Flickr App on your Computer.
  2. If you do not have the Flickr App downloaded on your computer, you can simply put up the Flickr URL at the address bar which is – https://www.flickr.com/
  3. Once you open Flickr, Sign in to your Flickr account using your Flickr Username and Flickr Password
  4. Then click on "Camera Roll" tab.You will see all your photos and videos by Date Taken.
  5. Click on the date from where you want to download photos and videos.
  6. Click "Select All" tab.All your photos and videos will now be selected.An action tray opens up.
  7. Click "Download" icon.
  8. Click "Download zip" button.
  9. Your browser prompts you to save .zip file, then click "Save" and specify a location to download.
  10. The downloaded zip file will contain the photos from the Flickr account.
  11. Connect your external hard drive to your computer.
  12. Click on "Start" menu on your computer.
  13. Click on "My Computers" option.
  14. You will see an external hard drive.
  15. Copy your downloaded Flickr photos and paste them into an external hard drive.
  16. This way you can backup Flickr photos to an external hard drive.
